FlipYard

Design

Scan a junk car’s VIN and FlipYard tells you which parts are worth pulling to resell on eBay, what it sells for now, how fast it moves, what to pay at the yard, the profit after fees, and how to remove it without breaking it.

Set your thresholds once below, then start scanning. You can change these anytime under 4 More.

How to scan
📷 The car: photograph the VIN in the driver door jamb (open the door), not the dash through the windshield and not the badge on the trunk. The badge only says “5 Series.” The door jamb VIN tells the app the exact model (535 vs 528), engine, fuel, and trim, and the paint code sits on that same sticker.
🔩 A part at the yard: snap the part number stamped on the actual part (headlight, module, wherever it is) and the app prices that exact part, so you know before you pay whether it’s worth pulling.
📦 A part you already have: got a part sitting from a car that’s long gone? On the scan screen, open “Look up one part’s sold prices” and snap its part number. You get what it’s worth on eBay now plus an estimate of what you paid for it at the yard.
About the numbers
Every price and sold count here comes from eBay, and eBay never sits still. We keep the numbers as close to live as we can, but they may not be exact to the day. Even eBay’s own search matches loosely, more by keyword than by exact part number, so the numbers will move around a little, and that is normal. Our job is to get you as close as we can so you can make a smart call at the yard.

Have a part number? Price it

Shoot the sticker in the driver’s door frame (open the door), not the dash through the windshield. It reads cleaner, and the paint code is right there on the same sticker. Fill the frame with the number, take the picture, then tap Use.

Not sure what a part is? Take a photo, or drag one in from your desktop — it names it and prices it.
